Land Acknowledgement

At Fox Fire Collective, we acknowledge with deep respect that our work, both in presence and virtually, is carried out on the unceded and ancestral territories of many First Nations. Our home base is located on the traditional lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, and the W̱SÁNEĆ People, whose stewardship of these lands and waters continues to this day.

In our work, we have the privilege of walking alongside over 200 distinct First Nations throughout British Columbia. As uninvited guests on these lands, we are committed to ongoing learning and accountability, grounding our work in principles of decolonization, reconciliation, and justice.

This acknowledgement is not just a statement of place; it is a call to action. We remain committed to disrupting colonial systems and honoring Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination in all facets of our work. We encourage everyone to deepen their own learning about the lands they inhabit and to consider their responsibilities connected to truth and reconcilliation.
